In order to create a Live Stream Embed with YouTube Live you’ll need to be registered as a YouTube user, and you also need to have Live Streaming and Embed Live Streams enabled on YouTube. If these are disabled you will be prompted to enable them when you try to access YouTube Live, which is necessary to create the embed.

To use YouTube Live, open up YouTube and sign-in. Then click the Video Camera icon (Create) in the top right of the screen, and select Go Live. You’ll now be redirected to YouTube Studio.

In the Manage tab choose the stream you want to create a Live Stream Embed for.

You'll be taken to this page:

Click Share arrow in the top right corner

Then the Video Link, displayed in blue.

You’ll be taken to the YouTube page for your stream.

Now, click Share on the new page, which is just right of the video itself. Then hit Embed. Copy the embed code this reveals. If you’re unsure what an embed code is, we can help.

Back in your Eventcube Store, choose the event the stream belongs to from the Events menu in your Dashboard.

Next, select Live Stream.

Paste the code you just got from YouTube Live into the Live Stream embed code box.

You should now preview the Live Stream Page to ensure the embed is working correctly.

If you are replacing or updating the Live Stream Embed in Eventcube, it may be necessary to Clear event cache before you can see any changes you have made to the Live Stream Embed preview. Do this by clicking the button top right of the Live Stream section for the Event, which you reach by first accessing the Events tab from the Dashboard menu.
