A video embed allows you to take a video from one site—for example a video hosting platform like Vimeo or YouTube—and display that video on another website.

In Eventcube’s case we use the Video Embed Code to display your live stream on the Eventcube Broadcast page. The code is generated when you set the stream up on the platform you are using to host, or the Stream Engine.

The embed code is a piece of HTML code that instructs a webpage to display media from another page. It might be a feed from Twitter, or an audio stream from Spotify. For an Eventcube Live Stream Event, it’s a video from your Stream Engine. Here is an example of what the code looks like:

<iframe width="420" height="315"

</iframe>

Once you have the correct embed code for your live stream, this should be added to the Live stream embed code box.

How to create a livestream on Eventcube

  1. Create an event.

  2. Choose an Online format by selecting 'Online' under Location.

  3. Choose Eventcube Broadcast as your online platform of choice.

  4. Add and save a ticket.

  5. Navigate to 03. Broadcast in the sub-menu.

  6. In your stream engine of choice, copy your embed code.

  7. Paste the embed code int he Live Stream page, in the field for 'Live stream embed code'.

For professional results with high production quality, low stream latency (latency is the delay between your camera capturing an event and the event being displayed to viewers), a vast array of effects and augmentations, and multiple camera broadcasts, you will need to a good quality Live Streaming Software package like Light Stream and Wowza alongside your Stream Engine. This can then be broadcasted across any channels you want.
