A video embed allows you to take a video from one site — for example a video hosting platform like Vimeo or YouTube — and display that video on another website.
In Eventcube’s case we use the Video Embed Code to display your live stream on the Eventcube Live Stream Page. The code is generated when you set the stream up on the platform you are using to host, or the Stream Engine.
The embed code is a piece of HTML code that instructs a webpage to display media from another page. It might be a feed from Twitter, or an audio stream from Spotify. For an Eventcube Live Stream Event, it’s a video from your Stream Engine. Here is an example of what the code looks like:
<iframe width="420" height="315"
</iframe>
Once you have the correct embed code for your live stream, this should be added to the Live stream embed code box.
This is found via your Eventcube Store Dashboard — click on Events to reveal a list of all your upcoming dates. Select the event you want to use the code for.
Now hit the Live Stream tab at the bottom of the individual Event Menu.
Don’t worry if you’re not sure where to find the Video Embed Code — we have walkthroughs to help you get live stream embed codes from Vimeo and YouTube Live.
For professional results with high production quality, low stream latency (latency is the delay between your camera capturing an event and the event being displayed to viewers), a vast array of effects and augmentations, and multiple camera broadcasts, you will need to a good quality Live Streaming Software package alongside your Stream Engine, for example Light Stream and Wowza. This can then be broadcast across any channels you want.
