This guide shows you how to set up and broadcast your live stream inside Eventcube. It consolidates the previous duplicate articles into one clear version.
Before you start
Have a working live stream setup (camera, microphone, stable internet).
Install live streaming software such as OBS Studio, Wirecast, or vMix.
Get access to a stream engine (e.g., Wowza, Mux, DaCast) or a platform that provides an embed/iframe code.
Ensure your Eventcube event page has live streaming enabled.
Step 1: Prepare your stream
Open your live streaming software.
Configure your video and audio inputs.
Enter the stream key and server URL from your stream engine.
Start the stream in your software to confirm it’s sending video to the engine.
Tip: Always run a quick test broadcast before your event to check for quality, lag, or dropped frames.
Step 2: Get your embed code
Log in to your chosen stream engine (Wowza, Mux, DaCast, etc.).
Locate the embed code (usually an iframe snippet).
Copy the entire code.
Step 3: Add the stream to Eventcube
Log in to your Eventcube dashboard.
Open your event and go to Settings → Broadcast.
Paste the embed (iframe) code into the streaming field.
Save your changes.
Note: This ensures your stream plays directly on your ticketed Eventcube event page, so attendees don’t need to leave the site.
Step 4: Test playback
Preview your Eventcube event page as an attendee.
Confirm the video player loads and the stream plays correctly.
Test on different devices (desktop, tablet, mobile) for compatibility.
If the stream doesn’t appear:
Double-check that you copied the correct iframe code.
Make sure your broadcast software is connected to the right stream engine.
Confirm the engine is live and publicly available.
FAQs
Can I use YouTube Live or Vimeo?
Yes, but these platforms may have branding, ads, or limited access control. For ticket-gated events, stream engines are recommended.
Do I need both software and a stream engine?
Yes — the software creates the broadcast, and the engine distributes it.
What if I only have the embed code?
That’s fine — paste the embed into Eventcube, as long as your provider supports embedding.
Previewing is particularly important if you are customising the Live Stream Page using the Eventcube Store Customisation options, each event page will mirror the design of your Store, including colour scheme, font and background images.
