Total ticket fees on Eventcube
When you sell a ticket with Eventcube, you're charged two fees:
(1) Eventcube fees. Eventcube fees are either 3% or 5% of the transaction total. When you sign up for Eventcube Pro, a monthly subscription worth $99 per month, you only get charged 3%. The Starter Plan carries a 5% fee. No subscription is needed.
(2) Stripe processing fees. Stripe card fees are typically 1.5% + 20p (UK) / 2.9% + 30¢ (US) per transaction total. You can check the rate in your territory here.
In almost all cases, the customer will cover these fees via the default booking fee (10% of the ticket price) or the custom booking fee you set.
Default booking fee
When you create a ticket and don't add a custom booking fee, Eventcube applies a default booking fee of 10%.
Custom booking fee
The custom booking fee is a fee that you set yourself. It is the amount added to your ticket's face value to cover any management or order processing fee.
You can use custom booking fee if you find that the default booking fee is too high or if you have other costs you'd like to pass on to customers.
You also have the option to absorb all fees into the ticket price by simply setting the custom booking fee to zero.
For alternative payment methods or custom rates, you can check the Stripe pricing page to ensure you know all fees.
Fees on Eventcube's different plans: Starter & Pro
Eventcube fees are either 3% or 5% of the transaction total depending on your plan.
When you sign up to Eventcube Pro, you'll be paying a monthly subscription of $99 per month (billed annually) or $125 per month (if billed monthly).
Eventcube Pro charges you 3% per transaction.
Meanwhile, the Starter Plan carries a 5% fee per transaction. No subscription needed.
Now, let's look at the Stripe fees.
| Stripe Card Fees |
Standard UK cards | 1.5% + 20p |
Premium UK cards | 1.9% + 20p |
Standard European Economic Area cards | 1.5% + €0.25 |
US per successful card charge | 2.9% + 30¢ |
If currency conversion is required, then an additional fee of 1% for US accounts and 2% for non-US accounts will be applied.

What is a transaction total?
It is the face value of the ticket/s (how much you're selling ticket/s for) and the booking fee.
Ticket Face Value + Booking Fee = Transaction Total
Different approaches to custom booking fees
A custom booking fee is an optional fee you set alongside your ticket price.
Custom booking is meant to give event promoters the choice to:
Absorb the Eventcube and Stripe fees into their ticket price by setting a custom booking fee of zero (0).
Make a little extra on top of the ticket face value plus fees or;
Pass over ticketing fees to ticket buyers.
How to calculate your ticketing fees
For instance your ticket price is £50.
Step 1: Calculate Eventcube Fees
If you're on the Starter Plan, then your Eventcube fee would be 5% of the transaction total.
£50 X 0.05 = £2.5
Your Eventcube fees will be £2.5
Step 2: Calculate Stripe Payment Processing Fees
Then you'll need to pay 1.5% + 20p for Stripe payment processing.
£50 X 0.015 = 75p + 20p = .95
Your Stripe payment processing fee is 95p
Step 3: Add your Eventcube fees and Stripe payment processing fees
£2.5 + £0.95 = £3.45
Your total ticketing fee on the Starter Plan is £3.45
Step 4: Determine the net cost of your ticket
If you absorb the fees into your ticket price, your net ticket cost is £46.55.
£50 - £3.45 = £46.55
However, if you set up a custom booking fee of £3.45, you get to take home the full ticket value of £50.
Important: The Stripe fees in the examples above only reflect card payments. For alternative payment methods or custom rates, please check the Stripe pricing page to ensure you know all fees.
How do I pay Eventcube for each transaction?
Eventcube and Stripe fees are automatically taken at the point of sale. The rest of the funds are sent straight to your Stripe account.
This means that every penny you receive in your Stripe account is yours and is transferred instantly after each sale.
How quickly can I have access to my funds?
You can access these funds in your bank account between 2-5 business days after each transaction. You can then schedule payouts from Stripe to your bank account on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.
