How to Create Group Buys and "Buy X, Get X Free" Deals on Eventcube

How to give free tickets for every minimum ticket order quantity purchased.

Group Buy is meant to entice friends and family to see an event together.

It allows you to create an offer on a ticket, giving customers one free ticket for every purchase of a set quantity (e.g., 1 free ticket for every purchase of 4 tickets).

You can set group buy when creating your ticket type or going back to edit it. Here's how you do it:

  1. Create or edit a ticket type.

  2. Scroll down to Discounts & Promotions.

  3. Toggle Group Buy on.

  4. Enter the minimum ticket order quantity to be eligible for a free ticket.

Once enabled, the Group Buy offer will show on your Event page like this.

How to redeem group buy offer

Method 1: Add 4 tickets to your basket and be allocated a fifth automatically

Method 2: Click on the banner. If a customer selects the banner, they’ll be given these two options: create a group with friends or purchase all the tickets there and then (Method 1).

If customers decide to make a group, once the 4th ticket is purchased, a fifth is generated automatically free of charge.

This feature can be turned on and off when desired, making it a valuable tool to help boost sales at specific points of your on-sale campaign.
