If your event has sold out, the Ticket Resale feature will allow customers who have bought tickets but later realized that they can’t make it to your event to put their tickets up for sale in a secure system.

What’s interesting about this feature is that you can set up the resale amount and prevent ticket prices from being inflated.

Once the original customer's tickets have sold, they are refunded, and a new order reference is generated for the new attendee.

Here’s how ticket resale works

Step 1: Set up a resale tier.

  1. You can go to your event.

  2. Select Ticket Resale.

  3. Toggle on the ticket you’re permitting to be resold.

A resale tier is a ticket that you are allowing to be put up for resale. This is manually done so you can ensure that tickets have actually run out before they’re sold as resale. Your event admin page will show you your inventory.

Step 2: Set the price in which the tickets can be resold for. You can also set a new booking fee.

Once you have created a resale tier, you will see additional tickets under the Resale Tickets category in your event Ticket Tab.

If these ticket tiers have been set up, and the original ticket tier has sold out, then the customer will see this resale option when they access the Eventcube Support Hub.

How to list your ticket up for resale using Eventcube Support Hub

1. Go to the ticket store.

2 Click Manage Orders in the main menu.

3. Enter your order reference number and email in the Support Hub log-in page.

4. You will find all the tickets you bought in the same order when you're inside.

5. To your right is a Sell Tickets button. Click it.

6. Select the ticket you want to list for resale.

Remember: Only ticket tiers the store admin allows will appear in the resale list. So, if your desired ticket isn’t available for resale, contact your administrator and request the feature be activated.

7. Click ‘confirm’.

8. You know that you have successfully listed your resale ticket when you see this in your support portal.

9. If you change your mind at any time before the ticket sells, you can remove your ticket from the resale queue by clicking ‘Cancel’.

10. Once added to the queue, the Resale Tier becomes available on your Event page.

Tickets will be refunded automatically; customers can expect a refund within 10 days.

Ticket resale and multi-region pricing cannot be used together

When an event has enabled a ticket resale tier in any one of their tickets, the Multi-Region Pricing will be disabled for that event. This means that the event promoter or store owner cannot sell the same ticket in different currencies to match the world region from which customers access the ticket store.
