In this article:

Start by navigating to the Visual Editor tab and clicking ‘Launch Visual Editor.’,

Next, click on the email confirmation you wish to edit for either your Standard or Virtual events. Then, select ‘Ticket Confirmation’.

This will take you to the edit ticket confirmation email page.

On the left-hand side, you will see a list of options where you can add & edit content blocks.

How to Edit Your Confirmation Email

1. To rearrange the order of the blocks according to your liking, drag and drop a content block.

2. Click 'remove this block' within the tab editor to remove a content block. So that you know, certain blocks may be set as default in each store.

3. In this case, Text, Ticket, Image, and Bullet List blocks are there by default and cannot be removed.

4. Editing a content block - To edit a content block, first click on a content block you would like to edit. You can then edit the section in more detail here.

Note: If you want to automatically mention each recipient’s first name in any part of a Text block, enclose the name in two curly brackets as shown below.

Types of Content Blocks

There are a variety of content blocks you can use to create beautifully branded emails with bespoke content. The list of content blocks can be found below.

To add a new content block, click 'add a new block'.

A pop-up window would appear with all the blocks you could possibly add to your email confirmation.

  • Text. Use this to add more information about the event your ticket buyer is attending. Keep it short so as not to overcrowd the email.

  • Image. Use an image to feature speakers, segments, performances, etc. in your email. Otherwise, it can be used to illustrate ground rules.

  • Video. Use video blocks if you want a more interactive element in your email.

  • Button. Buttons work best as call-to-action cues.

  • Divider. Separate related blocks of content using a divider.

  • Ticket. The confirmation email comes with a default block, but in cases when you need to offer additional tickets or freebies, you can add another ticket block.

  • Bullet List. This block is best used for reminders and essential details about the ticket/event.

  • Events. You can also go ahead and promote your other available events in your confirmation email. The block will not only show ticket buyers an event list but also redirect them to the specific event pages in your store.

  • Banner Display Ad. If you’re working with sponsors, you can easily offer your confirmation email as one of the many online real estate you can use to promote their brand. Banner Display Ad blocks make the perfect email header.

  • Block Display Ad. Like banner ads, Block Display Ad serves similar functions only in a much bigger medium.

Default content blocks - The default content blocks we suggest you use on your store are Text, Ticket, Image, and Bullet List.

These content blocks are essential for providing your customer with the correct information for your event. As a result, these cannot be removed. However, you'll be able to remove the content within each block as needed. This can be done by clicking a content block and then deleting the data inside.

General, Header & Footer Blocks - Within these settings, a store owner can change background colours, and add logos and social icons to the header and footer. This can help you with your branding and marketing.

For social icons, these will pull from the social media information you linked under ‘Store Settings > Customise Store’, so make sure you’ve set them up in advance.

Assigning a content block to specific events

There may be instances when you may not want some information about your event to be displayed on all events you are hosting in your store; for example, text explaining where customers can find your event.

To assign a block to a specific event:

  1. Click on the content block.

  2. You can just scroll down to Advanced Settings and select Selected Events under Block Visibility.

  3. Click Edit.

A pop-up will then appear, asking which events you would like to assign your content block. Select the events, then hit save.

Note: Each content block will be assigned to ‘All Events’ by default.

Layout - If you navigate back to the main overview page of the visual editor, you will see a section titled Theme.

The Theme

If you click into this section you will get a list of global email features, meaning that the design you set in Themes will apply to all Ticket Confirmation emails across different Eventcube products.

1. Logo - Clicking on this will take you to a page where you can select a logo on your email builder. If you don’t set one here, Eventcube automatically pulls the logo you uploaded in the Store Settings of your Eventcube store.

2. Fonts - Clicking on fonts will allow you to select your primary email fonts: Heading and Paragraph fonts. You can select fonts, see them live in the email preview, and assess how well they work with your brand in mind.

3. Colours - Selecting colours allows you to change the primary and secondary colours in your email.

4. Buttons - Finally, buttons allow you to switch up the look of the CTA’s on your emails. Changing the settings here will update all similar elements on all your email confirmations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you know if all changes made in the Visual Editor automatically saved?

  • No, only when you hit the Publish button in the upper right corner of the Visual Editor will all of your changes be saved.

How do I preview the confirmation email I just designed using Visual Editor?

  • Currently, the only way to see how your confirmation email looks to your ticket buyers is if you go to your Eventcube store and try purchasing a ticket.

  • You can also manually create an order and have an e-ticket generated and sent to your email. You can learn more about this here: How to manually create an order/ticket.

Why do I see a different font on my confirmation email?

  • Depending on the customer's email provider, fonts may not be displayed as you set them in the Visual Editor.

Other Disclaimers

The Eventcube Team is continuously working on improving the Visual Editor to ease the ticketing and designing experience, so you might come across the following minor issues:

1. The email builder displays all text content in the preview for all content blocks.

This means that if you have content blocks reserved only for a Selected Event, it will still be shown in the dynamic preview. However, this does not mean it will appear in the final email confirmation.

To ensure that you only show the content relevant to an event, we suggest creating a trial ticket order each time before promoting your event so you can have a realistic preview of the confirmation in your inbox.

2. Make sure not to change stores while you have the Visual Editor open, as this will override the supposed separate Visual Editor in the new store.
