What is BLIK?
BLIK is the leading mobile payment system in Poland, used by millions of consumers for online purchases. It allows customers to pay securely and instantly using a unique 6-digit code generated within their mobile banking application.
How to Enable BLIK Payments in your Eventcube Ticket Store
BLIK payments are facilitated through our Stripe integration. To offer BLIK, you need to ensure the following:
1. Connect Stripe. You must have an active Stripe account connected to your Eventcube Store. If you haven't done this yet, please follow our guide: How to Connect Stripe to Eventcube.
2. Enable BLIK in Stripe: BLIK is typically enabled by default for eligible Stripe accounts processing PLN. You can verify or manage this in your Stripe Dashboard:
Go to Settings → Payment Methods.
Scroll down to find BLIK and ensure it is turned 'On'. (Activation is subject to Stripe's terms and eligibility).
3. Set Store Currency to PLN:
Crucially, BLIK transactions must be processed in Polish Złoty (PLN).
You need to configure PLN as an accepted currency for your event or store within Eventcube.
Go to Store Settings.
To your right, you can find the Default Currency for Events.
Select the currency for your store.
You may also set up multiple currencies here: How to set up Multi-Currency Payments on Eventcube
4. Automatic Display: Once these conditions (Stripe connected, BLIK enabled in Stripe, PLN currency active) are met, BLIK should automatically appear as a payment option for customers checking out using PLN.
What you need to know before using BLIK
1. BLIK will only appear in your payment methods section if you are eligible on Stripe. This means that you have a linked Polish bank account to your Stripe Store.
2. BLIK is off by default for stores that are eligible. You, as the admin of the Stripe account, will need to enable this manually.
Go to your Stripe Dashboard to enable BLIK.
3. BLIK is a payment method that businesses only from 30 countries (including Poland, Belgium, Austria, etc) can offer. See the complete list here. This assumes that these businesses cater Polish customers who prefer to pay using BLIK.
3. You also need to make sure you are turning on the payment method for the Eventcube Linked Account within the payment methods. See below:
