How booking fees work

With Eventcube, you set and keep both the face value and the custom booking fee on all tickets sold, with our fees and payment processing taken as a % of that total amount.

This allows you to either cover your costs, absorb any fees, or make a little extra on top of the face value; the decision is yours.

Custom booking fee

The custom booking fee is a fee that you set yourself. It is the amount added to your ticket's face value that's intended to cover any management or order processing fee.

Store owners do this when they want to pass costs down to ticket buyers.

Default booking fee

When you create a ticket and don't add a custom booking fee, Eventcube applies a default booking of 10%.

This covers the platform handling fee–3% for Eventcube Pro users and 5% for those on the Standard Plan–as well as the Stripe card payment processing fees.

For alternative payment methods or custom rates, you can check the Stripe pricing page to ensure you know all fees.

What if I want to absorb all fees?

If you want to absorb all fees or don't want your customers to pay anything other than the ticket price, you can enter a zero (0) in the custom booking fee field.

Note: When you decide on a custom booking fee amount, ensure full coverage of Eventcube and payment processing fees.

If you have a booking fee of zero, order processing fees will be taken directly from the ticket price.
