The Chat Room allows event attendees to communicate with each other, and you the administrator, during the event. It works much in the same way as a group chat on social networks.

It can also be used to share files, images, links and other content.

In order to run a Chat Room with your event you need to Enable Chat During Live Streaming.

You will find by accessing the Events tab on your Store Dashboard.

Then head for the Live Stream tab of your chosen Event.

To check if chat is enabled, preview the Live Stream Page.

Once chat is enabled we recommend you organise Chat Preferences β€” these include moderation rights, rules, specialist messaging types (for example polls and emojis), sub rooms and just about anything else you could want to add to or regulate within the Chat Room.

To access this, hit Settings on the chat box within the preview of your Live Stream Page.

Now select Chat Preferences.

This opens a new webpage. Click the top link to be taken to Minnit β€” the service powering Eventcube Chat Rooms.

Now press Chat Settings and you will find a broad range of options to enhance the event chat, and keep it secure.

When the event and Chat Room are live, you can find all moderation functions in the menu at the bottom of the chat box. These include Delete Message, Clear All Messages and view Reports left by Chat Room users, for example flagging inappropriate language.
