For a multi-day event such as a conference, you can set up tickets in different ways. For example, you might create a 3-day pass that grants access to all event days. If you also want to offer single-day access, you’ll need to create separate tickets for each individual day within the same event.
A crucial step is to label each ticket clearly so customers understand exactly what they’re purchasing.
Setting category limits
If each event day has multiple ticket types, you can set a limit to the total number of tickets sold for that particular event day. This ticket limit could be a mix of different ticket types.
Here's how to do this:
1. First, set up a ticket category. In the example below, the categories are the event days.
2. Create tickets specific to each event day.
3. Click "Re-order Tickets".
4. Drag and drop each ticket to their respective ticket categories.
5. To set the ticket category ticket limit, select the pencil icon next to the category name.
6. Enter a number under Category Sales Limit. For example, if you set the limit to 100, the total number of tickets sold across both Regular and VIP cannot exceed 100. Even if the combined inventory for these tickets is 200, sales will stop once 100 tickets are sold in any combination.
7. Click 'Done' to save your changes.
8. Repeat the process for each event day.
